SHORT HILLS, NJ—General contractor,construction manager and design builder HollisterConstruction Services is modernizing The PingrySchool's Lower School, an independent coeducational K-5day school in Short Hills, NJ. The Lower Schoolprepares students for the school's Basking Ridge, NJ, campus wherethey continue their education.
“The goal of this modernization project is to promote a higherlevel of learning and teaching. Therefore, this project'semphasis is on creating 'learning neighborhoods,' morecollaborative learning spaces to match the school's curriculumcentered on hands-on experiences,” says KeithLovas, project manager forHollister.
Teamed with Strategic Building Solutions, theowner's representative, and edm, the architect andengineer, Hollister is working on the two-phase,14,000 square foot assignment that represents a new addition withinan existing courtyard space, allowing the school to redesign itsspace to help teachers maximize their students' learningexperience.
