NEWPORT BEACH, CA—GlobeSt.com gathered with 500 real estate executives at the Island Hotel Newport Beach yesterday for the 2014 Real Estate Awards Luncheon hosted by the UCI Center for Real Estate at the Paul Merage School of Business and sponsored by the Bascom Group and Lennar. The luncheon honored three accomplished executives for their achievements in the industry: Peter Kompaniez, vice chairman of AIMCO, who received the Power-Packed Philanthropist Award for his efforts to help find a cure for Type 1 diabetes; Ray Lawler, managing director/partner with Hines, who won the UCI Center for Real Estate Rising Star Award for his dedication to hard work, dependability and strong family values; and Emile Haddad, president & CEO of FivePoint Communities, who was presented with the UCI Center for Real Estate Lifetime Achievement Award for his commitment to creating desirable communities, a company where people love to come to work and strong relationships with colleagues, friends and family.
