WASHINGTON, DC—Carrington Real Estate Services,based in Santa Ana, CA, has acquired RealtyDirect's assets and operations in the Washington, DC metroarea. These include offices and staff in Largo, MD, as well asAshburn and McLean, VA.

All total, the acquisition adds approximately 230 agents toCarrington, who will be operating under the majority owner ofRealty Direct, Wendy Powers.

Carrington provides institutional real estate services in theresidential space – these services include development, management,brokerage, settlement and field operations and they are provided togovernment and large corporate institutions.
