WELLESLEY, MA—Three major lease deals, involving one large lease renewal and two direct deals with firms that previously subleased space at the building, have been signed at the 272,550-square-foot Wellesley Gateway office building here.
The deals were announced by building owner Los Angeles-based CommonWealth Partners and Transwestern | RBJ. The brokerage firm's Jon Varholak, Ron Friedman and John Lashar, partners, along with Vicki Keenan, senior vice president, represented building ownership in the transactions.
The largest transaction at the property located at 93 Worcester St., was a lease renewal of approximately 126,000 square feet on multiple floors in the building with anchor tenant Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Inc. The not-for-profit health services company was represented by McCall & Almy Inc.
Partners HealthCare signed a direct lease for approximately 80,000 square feet, after having previously subleased space in the building. McCall & Almy represented the tenant, an integrated health care system founded by Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital.
The third deal involved GW & Wade LLC, an independent, fee-based financial advisory firm, which signed a direct lease for approximately 20,000 square feet after having previously subleased space in the building. GW & Wade was represented by Cassidy Turley in the transaction.
“Securing long-term leases with companies of such high caliber is a testament to the quality of Wellesley Gateway,” says Transwestern | RBJ's Friedman. “The building's quality of construction and first-class amenities coupled with its superior location at the intersection of Routes 9 and 128 are truly unique to the marketplace.”
