WASHINGTON, DC—Douglas Development is breaking ground on 1000 F St., NW, its long-planned spec office project, next week.
The plot is the last existing underdeveloped site along the East End's F Street corridor and close by to other Douglas Development now-completed projects: The Woodies Building and The Atlantic Building at 10th and F, and 1155 F St.
Delivery of the 94,000-square foot office is expected in summer 2016. Construction had originally been slated to begin at the end of 2013.
The architectural firm is Shalom Baranes Associates, which, as part of its design, incorporated the existing two-story designated historic structure at the site as well as the facades. It will be designed to secure LEED Gold certification.
CBRE's Mark Klug, Max Friedman, Abigail Todd and Randy Harrell are representing Douglas Development.
