MIAMI—Before his 30th birthday, Max Boehmer was a foundingprincipal at Vertica Partners. He oversees thereal estate investment and advisory firm's operations and leads itssales, marketing and acquisitions platforms.

Boehmer was directly involved in nearly $240 million intransactions in 2013, including about $140 million inmultifamily investment and development sales. Amember of CCIM, ULI, NAR and a number of other organizations,Boehmer is also involved in charities like Meals on Wheels. Hissecret to success, as he describes it, is hard work.
