HOUSTON—Rex Rogers, a veteran of the Houstonreal estate scene for 36 years, has died.

“Rex was a really special person,” David L.Cook, executive vice president of Cushman &Wakefield, told GlobeSt.com. “He headed our corporate realestate services activities for 17 years. In addition to hisprofessionalism and real estate expertise, he had an exceptionalway of interfacing with our clients. Everyone who worked with himloved him.”

Rogers managed the corporate real estate assets for a variety ofclients, including corporations, financial institutions, trusts andpension funds, family-controlled companies and private investors.Most recently, he oversaw the transaction management and day-to-dayadministration of clients that included Service CorporationInternational (SCI), Shell Oil Co. andRental Services Corp. Over the past nine years,Rex and his account team, led by Cook andJeff Peden, were involved in more than 700transactions in excess of $360 million.
