HOUSTON—Houston-based Baker Katz, a commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in retail tenant representation, investment sales and project development and leasing, has negotiated five Chipotle leases throughout Texas.
Jason Baker, principal of the firm, negotiated the transactions, ranging in size from just over 2,000 square feet to 3,000 square feet, with a variety of different brokers.
"Food and beverage is just booming in the Houston market right now,” Baker told GlobeSt.com. “Chipotle was really on the forefront of the fresh, fast-casual tidal wave we've been watching over the past few years, and it's no surprise that they're expanding so rapidly here. The five negotiated locations include stores in Houston; nearby Cypress and Spring; Huntsville; and Corpus Christi.
