HOUSTON--Colvill Office Properties has been retained to lease the 250,000-square-foot, 18-story Park Place at Buffalo Bayou, located at Memorial Drive and Waugh Drive, currently in development by Pinto Realty Partners.

Michael Anderson, executive vice president of Colvill, along with associate Damon Thames, will handle leasing for the asset. The class A office building recently broke ground and is scheduled for completion in summer 2016.

"This project is unique in what it has to offer to this growing and thriving submarket area,” Ernie Cockrell, executive managing director, Pinto Realty Partners, says. "With all of the surrounding development and amenities, this office project will bring a new set of standards to how businesses view their office space and the environments in which they conduct business."

The office building was designed by Kirksey Architecture, and the general contractor is Tellepsen. Overlooking Spotts Park along the north side of Buffalo Bayou, the property will have direct access to the park, as well as access to downtown or Galleria/Uptown via Memorial Drive. Pinto Realty Partners is applying for LEED Silver certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.

“The restoration of Buffalo Bayou along with the proximity of newer, upscale urban residential provides an unmatched opportunity for Park Place to prominently position itself in what we believe to be Houston's newest innovation district," Anderson told GlobeSt.com.

Buffalo Bayou Park is the centerpiece of a master redevelopment plan, which will connect Houston's Central Business District to Memorial Park along Allen Parkway and Memorial Drive. The project will be completed in the second quarter of 2015.
