WILMINGTON, DE—MetLife is taking approximately 50,000 square feet at 600 N King St. here. The office, formerly known as the Alico Building, is in the midst of a renovation. John Kaczowka of CBRE represented the landlord, AIG, in the transaction.

The renovations include a new lobby, elevators, mechanical and system upgrades, fac¸ade improvements, and renovations to the plaza. AIG expects that with the building's upgrades the building will attract a new class of tenants, Kaczowka says. "We believe this building will be ideally suited for law firm type tenants who will enjoy a location next to the courthouse with an abundance of parking below the building."

Located in Downtown Wilmington, 600 N. King St. is also blocks away from the Amtrak Station and the Riverfront. It is next to the Double Tree Hotel.
