BERLIN—Morrison & Foerster is expanding its global real estate practice with the addition of Christoph Fl gel, who has joined the Berlin office as counsel. His practice is focused on real estate, investment law, regulatory affairs, and compliance.

“Christoph's experience and personality are an excellent fit with Morrison & Foerster's team in Germany,” said Jens-Uwe Hinder, co-managing partner of the firm's operations in Germany. “His ability to provide strategic real estate advice on transactional and regulatory matters will be invaluable to our clients and will complement our real estate practice. We are delighted to welcome him to the firm.”

Fl gel joins the firm from the leading German asset management company Union Investment, where he was head of the legal department. “As one of the top real estate practices in the world Morrison & Foerster enjoys an excellent reputation. Its global platform matches perfectly with my international experience. I look forward to adding my real estate expertise to the German practice, offering and contributing to the firm's success,” said Fl gel.

Fl gel received his first state exam from the Ministry of Justice of Brandenburg in Potsdam, and the second state exam from the Ministry of Justice of Saxony in Dresden. He earned his Ph.D. at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, in the area of corporate and investment law. He also earned a diploma in theology from the North Elbian Protestant Church at the University of Hamburg.
