OAKLAND, CA—TCA Architects, one of California's fastest-growing architectural firms, recently hosted a number of industry leaders, clients and media at a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the firm's move to expanded offices at 1111 Broadway in downtown Oakland.

“We were pleased that so many of our guests braved what was broadcast to be the storm of the century and were able to join in launching our new and expanded offices in Oakland,” said Thomas Cox, CEO and managing partner of TCA Architects. “We believe this city is the most exciting, up-and-coming metropolis on the West Coast, and we are committed to investing in the community and doing our utmost to be an integral part of its continued growth.”

With growing business in the Bay Area, TCA Architects opened its Oakland office a year and a half ago with a handful of employees. The firm has since grown its staff to nearly 15 members, necessitating its lease of the 7,000 square foot space. The firm currently has 4,500 residences under development in 12 cities in the Bay Area, including San Francisco and Oakland. According to Cox, the firm's expansion demonstrates their long-term commitment to creating innovative designs for residential and hospitality projects in Northern California.

TCA Architects concentrates on the design of progressive multifamily and mixed-use urban communities, and has received national acclaim on many of its projects. Much of their work in Northern California is on display in a gallery within their new offices in the heart of Oakland.
