CHICAGO—Mid-America Real Estate Corp. recently promoted Joe Girardi and Mike Phillips to principals and Brian Adams and Willie Hoag to senior vice presidents. Girardi is belongs to the Oakbrook Terrace, IL-based firm's shopping center investment sales team and the latter three all belong its tenant representation team.

Girardi focuses specifically on the disposition of retail properties. He generates, underwrites and executes investment sale assignments and has been with Mid-America since 2003. Girardi has been directly involved in the completion of over $2 billion of retail investment transactions. Phillips, the other new principal, represents national retailers throughout the Midwest. In addition, throughout his career Phillips has helped handle numerous development and redevelopment projects. He has been with Mid-America since 1998.

Adams represents both retail landlords and tenants throughout the Chicagoland area and Illinois. He focuses on restaurant tenant representation, and has been with Mid-America since 2005. A graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington, he is also a co-chair of the restaurant council for the Chain Links Organization.

Hoag represents retail tenants throughout the suburban markets of Chicago in addition to the markets of downstate Illinois. He has coordinated efforts for retailers new to the Chicago market, as well as existing retailers who seek to change strategy or re-brand themselves. Hoag has been with Mid-America since 2005.
