MIAMI—Miami has made a name for itself on the multinational commercial real estate front—and international culinary scene. The two are merging in a yet-unnamed restaurant concept that's set to open on the first floor of the University of Miami Life Science & Technology Park (UMLSTP).

Owned and managed by Wexford Science & Technology, a BioMed Realty Trust company, the UMLSTP is located in Miami's health and innovation district. The class A development is home to research teams, entrepreneurs, and companies from around the world—and will soon be home to a restaurant concept from Chef Ralph Pagano, who opened a casual Mexican eatery earlier this year called Naked Taco at Dream South Beach Hotel.

“I am excited to bring a new culinary experience to the UM Life Science & Technology Park, located in an emerging neighborhood of Miami,” says Pagano. “The area is full of untapped potential for new growth and I look forward to serving up a fresh new restaurant concept for locals to discover and enjoy.”

Since his iconic casting on the first season of Gordon Ramsey's Hell's Kitchen, Pagano has become a celebrity-chef staple at home and abroad. You might have seen him on The Travel Channel hosting his international cooking show Pressure Cook or on The Lifetime Channel as the host of All Mixed Up.

Pagano's new restaurant is set to open in early 2015. More details about the concept and menu will be revealed in January.

Pagano's concept will join the park's other restaurants, including Thea's Pizzeria and Subway Café and will be within walking distance of the Miami Health District. Bill Hunter, director of Leasing for the UMLSTP, says, “The new format will draw patrons from the surrounding areas to experience great dining, great atmosphere and expanded catering options.”
