PRAIRIE VIEW, Tex.-- Skanska has signed acontract to construct a new football stadium and athletic fieldhouse for Prairie View A&M University.

The $53-million project, located about 50 miles northwest ofHouston in Prairie View, will include 15,000 seats, coaches'booths, ten sky-box suites, and a radio and television broadcastbooth. The existing stadium will be demolished to make way for thenew stadium.

“Skanska has significant experience building world classstadiums for both professional and collegiate sports teams,”Brian Freeman, Skanska executive vice presidentand general manager of Texas, told GlobeSt.com. “We're pleased tobe working with Prairie View A&M University on this project andbringing home a win for the Panthers.”
