ARLINGTON, VA—LCOR has received final Site Plan approval from Arlington County for a multifamily project on 400 Army Navy Dr. Called The Altaire, the project will begin construction this summer with delivery expected in the second quarter of 2018.
The project will consist of two towers, with the first tower consisting of 150 condominium units and the second tower offering 300 rental units. It is the first large-scale condo building in this neighborhood, according to Harmar Thompson, SVP of LCOR.
The 20-story building will be LEED Gold and will feature such architectural details as a floor-to-ceiling glass façade. There will also be balconies accompanying several units.
Amenities, which will be shared by the two towers, will include an outdoor pool area and fire pits, a fitness center, a club room, a sky lounge, roof top terraces and a common reception area.
Separately, another developer has received approval for a mixed-use residential project in the District. Level 2 Development has filed a Planned Unit Development Application with DC's Zoning Commission for a 315-unit, mixed-use apartment project that it hopes to develop jointly with Clark Enterprises.
The building, which will be called The Highline at Union Market, will have 8,472 square feet of retail and be located next to the Union Market district at 320 Florida Ave., NE.
