ADDISON--Cadence McShane Construction Co. has been awarded an 82,000-square-foot renovation assignment on behalf of L-3 Link Simulation & Training, a division of L-3 Communications.

Headquartered in Arlington, L-3 occupies a facility at 2200 Arlington Downs Road; the renovation is expected to deliver in April.

“Cadence McShane's team members are highly-skilled seasoned professionals who can transform existing office environments into today's class A work spaces,” Will Hodges, president of Cadence McShane Construction Co., told GlobeSt.com. “We begin by leveraging our experience on behalf of our clients to deliver amazing spaces. And then we go above and beyond. We seek to understand our client's business objectives so that all we do in the construction of their space will help them improve their business.”

The renovation will include the reconfiguration of the facility's departments and offices, a strategic upgrade and expansion of employee service areas, and expansion of the building's data center.

Exterior improvements will also be implemented including the construction of a new main entry and lobby that will be accented with a glass curtain-wall, providing an abundance of natural light into the facility. Construction of a new canopy structure for the building's courtyard will also be completed, allowing more seating and outdoor space for employees.

Merriman Associates/Architects Inc. is providing the architectural services.
