TEMPLE, Tex.--MCR Development LLC has announced it has completed strategic renovations at four of its premium-branded hotel properties in Texas: the Residence Inn Temple, the Hilton Garden Inn Corpus Christi, the TownePlace Suites Odessa and the Residence Inn Abilene.
“Our ongoing renovation program focuses on providing our guests with an inviting 'home away from home' that emphasizes quality and maximizes comfort and productivity,” Tyler Morse, CEO of MCR Development, told GlobeSt.com. “As a result, guests have increasingly extended their stay or returned as repeat visitors.”
The Residence Inn Temple now features a variety of updates including a modernized lounge area equipped with an HDTV, a 12-person communal table in the lobby and a newly remodeled business center. The hotel's 103 guestrooms were upgraded with new bedding and frames, lighting, desks, sleeper-sofas and full-size refrigerators. Also, the fitness center received all new exercise equipment and free weights. On the exterior, the swimming pool was resurfaced, patio furniture was updated and wood fencing was added around the property's grounds.
At the 119-room Hilton Garden Inn Corpus Christi, the main entrance was redesigned into an enhanced lobby with an expanded bar and communal area offset by pockets of smaller, more private seating areas with all new furniture. A communal table was also added in the center of The Garden Grill and Bar, the hotel's onsite restaurant. Each of the guestrooms received new bedding, sleeper sofas and decor, while all bathrooms were upgraded with new light fixtures and a new deck surrounds the hotel's swimming pool.
At the TownePlace Suites Odessa, MCR enhanced the lobby by adding seating areas with all new furniture and modernized the business center with new computers and an electronics charging station. In addition, all 108 guestrooms were updated with expanded closet space, pull-out sofas, new artwork and lighting upgrades, while the pool/patio area received new furniture and the fitness center received new equipment.
The lobby at Residence Inn Abilene underwent an entry redesign and was improved through the addition of HDTVs, new couches, a chandelier and a communal table with installed lighting. The hotel's 117 guestrooms were also upgraded with new furniture, lighting, drapery and linens, and a glass amenity tray was added in each bathroom.
