SAN FRANCISCO—Jay Paul Company has selected internationally recognized firm Orlando Diaz-Azcuy Design Associates to design the residences at 181 Fremont, a new 70-story office and residential tower in the SOMA neighborhood..
Orlando Diaz-Azcuy Design Associates' (ODADA) expertise ranges from the development of interior architectural spaces to the design of the most detailed decorative elements. The firm's founder Orlando Diaz-Azcuy, one of America's most respected and awarded designers, is leading the interior design effort on the residences at 181 Fremont.
“A project of this magnitude called for a world-renowned designer, and we are very pleased to present ODADA as the interior design firm for the residences at 181 Fremont,” stated Jay Paul, principal of Jay Paul Company.
Featuring spacious rooms with spectacular views, each residence at 181 Fremont will be uniquely designed by ODADA.
“We searched the world to source the finest materials and products for this magnificent building, including procuring wood from a sustainable forest in Bolivia, and custom-made kitchen cabinets from Italian design firm Valcucine,” noted Orlando Diaz-Azcuy.
Developed by Jay Paul Company and designed by Heller Manus Architects, 181 Fremont features a state-of-the-art exoskeleton designed in a saw tooth pattern, with a spectacular spire that will ascend from the crown of the building.
The 802-foot steel and glass tower is comprised of 67 luxury condominium residences on the top 17 floors. The 52nd floor offers more than 6,500 square feet of exclusive residential amenities including a fitness center, yoga room, lounge, library, open air terrace, barbecue grill, fire pit, kitchen and dining room.
The residences are atop 435,000 square feet of class-A office space, and 3,000 square feet of retail space on the first and fifth floors. The fifth floor will be directly connected via a skybridge to a new 5.4-acre park atop the adjacent Transbay Transit Center, the new center of San Francisco.
The second largest building in San Francisco when completed, 181 Fremont will offer owners the opportunity to live at the highest point in the Western United States, with breathtaking views of the Bay Bridge, San Francisco Bay, Treasure Island and beyond.
“This level of luxury has never been offered in San Francisco before,” stated Alan Mark, founder and president of The Mark Company, the exclusive marketing and sales firm for the residences at 181 Fremont. “The high-end residential market continues to be extraordinarily robust and sustainable, supporting the demand for exceptional product.”
The Mark Company December Trend Sheet, which tracks new construction and resale market trends in San Francisco, reported a 14% increase in new condominium and penthouse prices in 2014, with strong demand and low inventory expected to continue in 2015.
