NEW YORK CITY—With fashion retailer H&M reportedly relocating to space across the street at Herald Center, its current flagship store space at 2 Herald Square has been put on the market for lease.
Cushman & Wakefield has been appointed exclusive leasing agent for the 60,500-square-foot store. The space on three floors offers a 75-foot storefront across from Macy's. Other neighboring retailers include The Gap, and Victoria's Secret's international flagship location.
H&M will be relocating to the Herald Center location in mid-2016, according to the Commercial Observer. David A. Green, Steven Soutendijk and Brad Mendelson of Cushman & Wakefield are the retail agents for the building.
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to market this tremendous space,” says Green, vice chairman of Cushman & Wakefield. “Located in one of the most trafficked areas of Manhattan—peak hourly volumes exceed 6,000 pedestrians per hour—and with unique branding opportunities such as the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, 2 Herald Square is an ideal flagship location for any brand looking for a prominent New York City presence.”
The property owned by Sitt Asset Management is also known as the Marbridge Building and 1328 Broadway and sits on the Northeast corner of 34th Street and Broadway. The building features three self-contained office lobbies and multiple elevator banks.
