MIAMI—Carol Ellis-Cutler has joined CBRE's Miami office agency brokerage group as a first vice president. She comes to CBRE from Colliers International, where she served as a senior vice president and partner, and will specialize in representing institutional quality owners of office real estate.
“Carol has a long and established reputation as one of the industry's most highly respected professionals,” says Ken Krasnow, managing director, CBRE South Florida. “We are confident that she will help CBRE strengthen even further its already successful office agency practice to better serve our clients in Miami-Dade.”
Doubtless, Ellis-Cutler will hit the ground running. During her tenure at Colliers, she oversaw the office tenant representation and landlord teams in South Florida.
Ellis-Cutler also directed the leasing and marketing of several institutionally owned office buildings, totaling millions of square feet. Her portfolio included Alhambra Plaza and Alhambra West Office Buildings and the Palmetto Bay Village Center, as well as others in Downtown Miami, Coral Gables, and surrounding submarkets.
“We are very excited to have Carol join the CBRE team in Miami,” says Patricia Nooney, senior managing director at CBRE Florida Investor Services. “Her intimate knowledge of Miami-Dade and the office market, combined with CBRE's resources and capabilities, will help create a huge advantage for our clients.”
Ellis-Cutler is a board member of NAIOP South Florida, a board member and programs director for CREW Miami, and the past chairman of St. Thomas University's President's Board of Advisors. She currently serves on the university's School of Business Advisory Board. Previously, she served on the executive committee and board of directors for the North Dade Chamber of Commerce and the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce.
CBRE is clearly gearing up for office industry growth, Krasnow sees the opportunity.
“South Florida has the fourth-highest job growth rate in the nation, at an average of 33,000 annually over the last five years,” Krasnow tells GlobeSt.com. “Projections over the next five years put South Florida's population growth at over 100,000 people annually and job growth at over 45,000 annually. Approximately 42% of these new jobs are for office-using tenants.”
Ellis-Cutler won the Power Broker Award for Miami-Dade County from CoStar Group and Real Estate Forum, Top Women in Florida Commercial Real Estate selection by Florida Real Estate Journal, and finalist recognition for the Awards of Excellence for Creative Transaction of the Year from NAIOP South Florida. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Business and Marketing from St. Thomas University and a degree in International Studies from the Universidad de Maria Christina in Spain.
