DALLAS--Venture Commercial Real Estate has successfully negotiated two leases in the Dallas/Fort Worth market on behalf of DestinationXL, national men's clothing retailer.
"Destination XL is enjoying great success with the expanded offering of men's Big & Tall casual and dress apparel and accessories through these new stores,” John Zikos, Venture Commercial partner, told GlobeSt.com. “They are about five years into the process of replacing all of their Casual Male and Rochester stores with the Destination XL superstores and are achieving higher sales and are able to better serve their customers."
The 9,059-square-foot Dallas store is located at the southeast corner of North Central Expressway and Park Lane in the Shops at Park Lane, and will represent the first urban Dallas location for the retailer.
An Arlington location, which is 5,970 square feet, is located at 4245 South Cooper St.
In addition, leases were negotiated in Midland, Texas, and Tulsa, Okla.
Venture's Zikos and Jonathan Cooper represented the tenant in the four transactions, and the landlords were represented by Ashley O'Malley and Jack Beard of United Commercial Realty; Mihir Mody of Mody Capital LLC; Gary Andrews of GRACO Real Estate Development and Matt Mardis of Paine & Associates, respectively.
“The DestinationXL retail concept from the Casual Male Retail Store LLC brand has done very well since entering the Dallas market in 2011,” says Zikos. “We're proud to help spearhead their continued expansion in our region, and we're confident that the retailer will continue to thrive in these markets.”
The Tulsa store opened in October; the Arlington location is scheduled to open this month. Midland is scheduled to open next month and the Dallas store is slated to open in May.
