DENVER—East West Partners and Newmark Grubb Knight Frank say that London-based Liberty Global has signed a lease for over 70,000 square feet at the Triangle Building, located at 1550 Wewatta St., in downtown Denver. Liberty Global will vacate its office space in suburban Englewood to relocate to the top three floors of the cutting-edge, 10-story office building currently under construction next to Union Station.

Liberty Global, formed by a 2013 merger, is a leading international telecommunications and cable television company with around $18 billion in annual revenue. it's primary headquarters are in London and Colorado.

NGKF's Tim Harrington, Tom Lee and Jennifer Chavez provided tenant representation services for Liberty Global on the transaction.

“The Triangle Building's modern and open architecture and collaborative office space are a great fit for us, and reflect what we stand for as a leader in the broadband communications and entertainment industry. This move will bring us together under one roof and provide us with the best possible working environment, easy access for employees, and great visibility in the heart of the city we fondly call 'the home of cable',” said Mike Fries, CEO of Liberty Global. The company plans to move into its new space in the third quarter of 2015.

The Triangle Building is under development by East West Partners and a controlled affiliate of joint venture partner Starwood Capital Group. East West Partners also serves as a master developer of the Union Station Neighborhood and Riverfront Park in downtown Denver. “We are delighted to have Liberty Global, Colorado's 2nd largest company with over $18 billion of revenue, as the Triangle Building's first signature tenant,” stated Chris Frampton, managing partner at East West. “Liberty Global's employees will benefit from the most progressive design strategies and innovative technology available, along with a vibrant location in the amenity-rich Union Station neighborhood.”
