BRIDGETON, NJ— Hibbett Sporting Goods has signed a 4,752-square-foot lease at Upper Deerfield Plaza in Bridgeton, the chain's first store in New Jersey.
In business since 1945, Hibbett Sporting Goods operates more than 950 sporting goods stores in small to mid-sized markets, predominantly in the Sunbelt, Mid-Atlantic and the Lower Midwest. The company's primary store format is a 5,000-square-foot store located in dominant strip centers and enclosed malls. Hibbett Sports stocks a large selection of athletic footwear, athletic apparel and team athletic equipment.
Upper Deerfield Plaza is a 124,851-square-foot center with excellent visibility from the corner of State Roads 77 and 56 in Bridgeton. The center also includes Aldi, Big Lots, Tractor Supply Company and Dollar Tree, and is adjacent to a Walmart Supercenter.
“We are excited to expand this best-in-class retailer into new markets and bring the first Hibbett Sports to New Jersey,” says Jim Farmer, regional vice president, leasing, for Phillips Edison & Company, which arranged the lease for Hibbett. “This is an outstanding addition to Upper Deerfield Plaza providing the community with a great selection of sporting goods catered to the market.”
