HOUSTON--Community Texas Gulf Bank N.A., an independently owned and operated community bank with locations along the Texas Gulf Coast, is expanding its Houston operations.

Savills Studley announced the move to 900 Town and Country Lane, adding that the bank's new lease of nearly 9,000 square feet is located on the building's first and second floors. This will be the bank's third location in Houston.

Kevin Hodges, senior managing director at Savills Studley's Houston office, represented Texas Gulf Bank in the transaction, and Bill Stone of Cushman & Wakefield of Texas represented the landlord.

“This was a very strategic decision for Texas Gulf Bank. It was important for the bank to expand its footprint in Houston's Energy Corridor market and the location of this building is spot on for accessing that market,” said Hodges.

The 900 Town & Country Lane Building is located across from the City Centre development in which its developer, Midway Properties, recently announced plans to construct three additional class A office buildings totaling over 987,000 square feet. Texas Gulf Bank will continue operating its retail branch at the corner of South Voss Road and San Felipe.

According to Hodges, Texas Gulf Bank is expected to occupy the space in April.
