AUSTIN—Austin-based Snap Kitchen is making the move outside Texas.
According to a report in Crain's Chicago Business, the organic foods to-go chain will open three stores in Chicago this spring.
“Whether you are trying to lose weight, training for a 10k, or just want food that tastes great and is super convenient, Snap Kitchen is designed with everyone in mind," Martin Berson, Snap Kitchen's co-founder and CEO, said in a release.
Last year, the company expanded its menu with 24 new menu items, the largest new product introduction since the company began in 2010 when it opened its first store in the Triangle development in north Austin. Last summer, it opened four stores in the Dallas area, totaling 20 stores throughout the state. Others are in the Houston metro.
Last month, Standridge Cos., the developer of Colleyville Stampede in Colleyville, announced that it had signed Snap Kitchen to 1,305 square feet of space at 4712 Colleyville Blvd., Suite 140.
