NEW YORK CITY—Development and financial firm Greystone says that Jeffrey Yachmetz has joined the company as vice president of development. Based in Greystone's New York City headquarters, Yachmetz will report directly to Thomas Ryan, senior vice president of development.
He brings 14 years of direct real estate development, construction, design and project management experience to Greystone, with a background in a broad variety of real estate development related disciplines ranging from pre-development due diligence assessments to project execution and delivery. Jeffrey will focus on Greystone's new residential development projects in the New York City area, including Brooklyn.
Prior to joining Greystone, Jeffrey held development positions at NorthStar Asset Management where he was directly responsible for several high-profile real estate development projects in New York City and several major markets across the nation. Before the move to NorthStar, Yachmetz was with Thor Equities

Yachmetz earned a bachelor of science degree in engineering from the University of Rhode Island and a master of science degree from Columbia University in New York. He is also a licensed professional engineer.
