GERMANTOWN, MD—DRS Technologies has taken occupancy of 1 Milestone Center Ct., moving its 250 employees into the 133,140-square foot building.
The company inked a long-term lease with Matan Cos. last month as part of an area consolidation that included relocation from their aging manufacturing and engineering facilities at 700 Quince Orchard Rd. in Gaithersburg.
DRS' new Germantown facility will house DRS Signal Solutions, as well as personnel from other DRS divisions.
Matan recently announced its plans to add 485 apartment units, 28,000 square feet of street level retail, and improved access to Milestone Business Park, which already has 635,000 square feet of office space.
Tenants in the office park include Boeing/DRT, URS and DRS. Matan acquired Milestone in late 2013.
