WASHINGTON, DC—Law firm Drinker Biddle & Reath has renewed its lease at 1500 K St., NW, for 91,973 square feet. Under the new agreement, the company will lease space in the building on the fourth, fifth, 10th and 11th floors.

Greg McCavera, Philip Leibow, Tom Doughty and Elizabeth Cooper from JLL's Law Firm Group represented Drinker Biddle in the transaction. Ed Gilpin of Lincoln Property Trust represented the building owner Grosvenor Americas.

The law firm is renovating its existing office space, adding a conference center on the 11th floor. In addition, during the next 18 months, the building will undergo a significant renovation including a new HVAC system, common areas, building lobby, and parking and exterior building enhancements.

Maureen Donahue Hardwick, regional partner-in-charge of the Washington, DC office, said the firm evaluated all opportunities for Drinker, Biddle & Reath including new construction and existing buildings, and determined that staying at 1500 K St. was the right fit.
