WASHINGTON DC—The Ezra Company continues to expand across the DC area, hiring four industry veterans for its tenant advisory team.
Neil Narcisenfeld has joined as senior vice president, Robert Calhan joins as an associate, both in the Tysons Corner office. Pat Gioffre joins as vice president and Ronald Scherr an associate in its district of columbia location.
Narcisenfeld, a 30-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry, most recently served as a senior director at Cushman & Wakefield and, earlier in his career, was a managing director at tenant representation firm Studley.
Narcisenfeld has completed transactions totaling more than 10 million square feet for Northern Virginia and Suburban Maryland clients, such as financial services firms, government contractors, technology companies, and life sciences firms. His expertise covers lease negotiations, space disposition, strategic planning and transaction analysis.
Narcisenfeld says he made the move to The Ezra Company because he wanted to get back to working for a firm that only represents tenants.
“They serve their clients really well, and there's no conflict present,” he says. “The Ezra Company has a great name and reputation, and there's a strong entrepreneurial spirit here. It's a great fit for me.”
Gioffre has more than three decades of real estate experience, including the construction and financing of office buildings, leasing, sales and acquisitions, and asset management. Prior to joining The Ezra Company, he served as CFO and executive vice president of the Arlington-based National Rural Electric Cooperative Association, one of the largest trade groups in the Washington area.
In this position, Gioffre led a staff of 450 and was in charge of all real estate matters, including the construction of four office buildings totaling 785,000 square feet and leases of more than 1 million square feet. At The Ezra Company, he is tasked with providing cost-effective and strategic solutions primarily to associations and non-profit organizations throughout the DC metropolitan region.
Similar to Narcisenfeld, Gioffre says he solely wanted to represent tenants. “What I like about The Ezra Company is that the professionals there have integrity. Their value system lines up with my value system,” he says. “The people are confident, grounded and take care of their clients. It's not just about making commissions.”
Calhan, who previously served as a residential mortgage broker for more than a decade, as well as several years as a consultant in the residential construction industry, will focus his efforts at The Ezra Company on assisting senior brokers to identify, evaluate and understand existing and future client needs to achieve long-term tenant objectives.
Before coming on board at The Ezra Company, Scherr had a successful career in mortgage banking for more than 20 years, during which time he founded a real estate lending company that he owned and operated. Scherr also owned and managed retail operations throughout the Baltimore metropolitan area. His background in financial negotiations and client advocacy is a large asset in representing tenants.
“I am thrilled that each of these professionals has elected to join our expanding team,” says Mark Ezra, the firm's chief operating officer. “They will be extremely valuable as we further grow our business by continuing to provide our clients with the highest level of conflict-free expertise.”
Founded 35 years ago, The Ezra Company is the oldest and largest Washington, D.C.-based commercial real estate advisory services firm dedicated solely to representing tenants.
