WOOD-RIDGE, NJ—High Point Development has begun construction on Wright Place at Wesmont Station, a new for-sale luxury townhome community at Wesmont Station. It's a joint-venture initiative between High Point and Somerset Development, developer of Wesmont Station, the mixed-use, transit-oriented neighborhood in Wood-Ridge, NJ.

Wright Place at Wesmont Station is comprised of 70 three-story townhomes, which will be built on the Northeastern portion of Wesmont Station near the new NJ TRANSIT train station, which is currently under construction. The 2,300 square foot homes will feature dramatic staircases, luxurious master suites, bedroom floor laundry rooms, first floor flex rooms, large windows, ceramic kitchens and more. Each home also comes complete with a two-car garage and separate rear entrance. Construction on the residences is expected to be completed by the end of 2016.

Wright Place at Wesmont Station is indicative of the tremendous demand we've seen for high-quality homes in Wood-Ridge with seamless access to the brand new NJ TRANSIT train station,” says Ralph Zucker, president of Somerset Development. “Combined with nearby improvements to public gathering spaces, office facilities, and retail options, this community is poised to breathe new life into the Wesmont Station neighborhood.”

The development will be pedestrian-friendly, within walking distance of the new NJ TRANSIT train station and new recreation fields that Wood-Ridge is planning nearby. The community will feature walking trails and bike paths throughout, joining the development with all of Wesmont Station's retail, transportation and office facilities.

“At Wright Place at Wesmont Station, we're seeking to provide the vibrancy and accessibility of a more urban downtown setting without sacrificing the comfort and luxury of suburban townhome living,” says Paul Schneier, president of High Point Development. “Within the next year, residents will have the opportunity to move not just to a new home, but a cohesive community connected to cultural hubs throughout New Jersey and New York City.”

Wright Place at Wesmont Station is the fourth phase of the large-scale redevelopment at Wesmont Station. In aggregate, the site has received approvals for nearly 1,200 residential units. Near Wright Place are Pulte Homes' Liberty Square, a 216 for-sale townhome community, and AvalonBay Communities' Avalon at Wesmont Station, a 406-unit luxury rental complex.  Additionally Wesmont Station is slated to offer approximately 90,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space; the first retail phase is currently available for lease at Avalon at Wesmont Station

In fall 2015, platforms will open at the new train station located in the heart of Wesmont Station, designed and constructed by Somerset Development in partnership with NJ TRANSIT. The station will offer a 25-minute ride to New York City, and will feature a handicapped-accessible pedestrian overpass and elevator leading to a raised middle platform, allowing riders to board trains in either direction from the same sheltered waiting area. Ticket sales will be fully automated and available for purchase at the platform. The station will have a dedicated parking lot with drop off and pick up areas for riders.

Wright Place at Wesmont Station will also offer easy access to the Garden State Parkway and Routes 3, 4, 17, 46 and 80. A variety of shopping is near the community, including the Garden State Plaza Mall, The Shoppes at Riverside, Bergen Town Center and Paramus Park.
