FORT WORTH—Denise Browning, senior vice president at Washington, D.C.-based Madison Marquette, has been named state director for Texas for the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Of ICSC's 68,000-plus members worldwide, Browning was one of the 300 selected to represent her association in the retail industry. Browning will be inducted at RECon 2015 in May during the Las Vegas national convention. For the past two years, Browning was the state operations director and previously held a number of state positions in her native North Carolina.
As Texas state director, Browning's responsibilities will include overseeing the ICSC Texas Conference & Deal Making in November, which has an expected attendance of nearly 4,000.
“I am pleased to take this position and to be able to follow the strong leadership of the past ICSC Texas state director Kendra Hinderland,” said Browning in a release. “It is great to work for a company like Madison Marquette, which is a strong supporter of ICSC and an advocate for my new position.”
