WASHINGTON, DC—Three local area companies, or entity, in the case of Freddie Mac have brought new people on board to expand various initiatives.
Bethesda, MD-based Walker & Dunlop has added two loan originators to its commercial property funding team. Chris Charboneau has joined the Chicago office as senior vice president and Randy Efron has joined the company's New York office as vice president. They will be reporting to Geoff Smith, managing director and head of originations for Walker & Dunlop's Commercial Property Funding Lending Venture.
Charboneau was director of commercial real estate finance and securitization at Hanover Street Capital where he originated and structured commercial real estate loans for placement in Deutsche Bank CMBS securitizations. Efron worked in private equity as a member of a commercial real estate debt origination team at Hudson Realty Capital LLC and a vice president of acquisitions and asset management at Trinity Hotel Investors LLC.
The Chesapeake Region office of Lee & Assoc. has added a property management group to its services.
The Towson, MD-based Lee Chesapeake Property Management is headed by Michelle Kimos, acting director of the group. Katie Lindenmuth, property manager, Sandy Pabst, controller and Gerry Taylor, property accountant, are also on the team.
Before forming Lee Chesapeake Property Management, Kimos was a partner and a co-founding member of Highpoint Commercial Management.
Freddie Mac, for its part, is bringing on board David Leopold as vice president of affordable housing production for the Multifamily business.
Leopold will manage the relationships and transactions relating to Freddie Mac Multifamily affordable housing business. He will report directly to David Brickman, executive vice president of the Multifamily Business.
Leopold managed origination of tax credit equity investments for Bank of America Merrill Lynch's Commercial Real Estate Division and Bank of America's national lending team for affordable housing and community focused commercial real estate. He was also an affordable housing specialist at the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.
