SADDLE BROOK, NJCBRE senior vice president Geoffrey Schubert,  who is beginning his fifth decade in the commercial real estate industry, will receive the 2015 Industry Service Award from the New Jersey Chapter of NAIOP.

The prestigious award recognizes firms or individuals that have made substantial contributions to the commercial real estate industry. Schubert will be honored at NAIOP New Jersey's 28th Annual Commercial Real Estate Awards Gala on May 14 at The Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset, NJ.

Schubert has been in the real estate business for 49 years, specializing in the office sector. He has leased or sold more than four million square feet of office product in the past four years alone. Ranked in the top five percent of CBRE professionals nationally, Schubert's primary focus has been working in the Hudson, Middlesex, Monmouth, Somerset, Morris and Bergen County markets. His efforts are specifically geared toward agency and tenant representation, build-to-suit business and investment sales.

“As a commercial real estate veteran, Geoff's accomplishments are widely recognized by his colleagues at CBRE and by the industry at large, and his NAIOP Industry Service Award is a testament to that,” says Jeff Hipschman, senior managing director, CBRE New Jersey. “Geoff embodies what it means to be an industry leader. He continually uses his strategic skill set and diligent work ethic to guide his team to success. It goes without saying that this honor is exceptionally well deserved.”

Since 1995, Schubert has been involved in the leasing of more than eight million sq. ft. of office space and has been responsible for the acquisition and disposition of more than $950 million worth of real estate. Schubert's extensive client roster includes TA Associates Realty, Morgan Stanley, Normandy Partners, Vision Equities, Pitcairn Properties, Transwestern Investment Management, Merrill Lynch, AT&T, CBS, SJP Properties, Ivy Realty, Mack-Cali and The Gale Company.

“I'm honored to receive the Industry Service Award from NAIOP, an organization that provides unparalleled educational and professional advancement opportunities for the commercial real estate industry,” says Schubert. “While this award recognizes my professional accomplishments, it is also a direct reflection of the continuous support that I've had from our dynamic team at CBRE during my 18 years with the firm.”

Before joining CBRE, Schubert was senior vice president and managing director of New Jersey operations at Koll Management Services, which CBRE acquired in 1997. During his career as a real estate professional, he also served as president and chief executive officer of Bridgewood Properties and as president of the New Jersey division of Vantage Companies.
