PARSIPPANY, NJ—Richard Russoman, who had been a project officer with Parsons Brinckerhoff since 2012, has joined the Hollister Construction Services as project manager, where he will work on several major capital projects at his alma mater, Fairleigh Dickinson University, and help expand the firm's educational institution practice.

Hollister says it has been actively hiring top industry talent to join its roster of more than 100 construction professionals.

“Richard has deep experience in managing institutional accounts, and his expertise will be a powerful resource to our clients,” says Kieran Flanagan, Hollister president & co-founder. “His education and professional training, passion for the industry, and track record of success with education projects makes Richard a truly valuable addition to the Hollister team.”

Russoman has 15 years of construction management experience, specializing in the construction of educational facilities. He has worked on numerous campuses on the East Coast and West Coast, and overseen many difficult, complex projects on active, occupied campuses. Before working for Parsons Brinckerhoff on New York School Construction Authority projects, he worked for O'Connor Construction Management, the San Diego Unified School District, and Torcon.

Hollister has provided construction management services to Fairleigh Dickinson University since 2009, and has completed a number of projects for the university in that time. Russoman will serve on-site project manager for a multitude of capital projects totaling approximately $11.7 million. The effort includes building a smart seminar classroom at Hennessy Hall, and evaluating the Rothman Building's roof and infrastructure at the university's Florham Campus in Madison, N.J.; and constructing the new Doerfler Business Lab, and renovating the Becton Dickinson Lab at its Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck, N.J. in addition to a number of other projects.

“This assignment marks a return for me to Fairleigh Dickinson,” says Russoman. “I earned my bachelor's degree in construction engineering technology at the university. It's an honor to be able to give back to the school that helped launch my career.”

Among the many successful projects Russoman has managed: IS/HS 404 Hunter's Point Campus in Long Island City; San Diego State University Aztec Student Union and Photovoltaic Array; California State University San Marcos Social Behavioral & Sciences Building, and many other leading educational facilities. Russoman was a member of the San Diego Unified School District's Prop MM Implementation Team, a voter-funded bond totaling $1.5 billion to renovate 180 schools and building 12 new schools.
