DALLAS--Huffines Communities has broken ground on a 650-unit apartment community in Rowlett. Harmony Hill will feature a distinctive, urban-inspired design with upscale amenities and finishes.

“The design of Harmony Hill brings a contemporary, urban lifestyle to Rowlett, including upscale amenities,” Phillip Huffines, who co-owns Huffines Communities with his brother, Donald Huffines, told GlobeSt.com. “The location is convenient to people working in Richardson and other nearby areas that are attracting thousands of new jobs, including a regional hub for State Farm."

Harmony Hill, located at the intersection of Merritt Road and the President George Bush Turnpike, will begin pre-leasing 326 apartments in its Phase I rollout next spring. When it opens next summer, Harmony Hill will offer one- and two-bedroom units in multiple floor plans ranging from 560 to 1,263 square feet. Planned amenities include a 7,000-square-foot clubhouse with a fitness center, business center, swimming pool and pavilion.

In addition, residents will enjoy a nine-hole disc golf course as well as bike and jogging trails. An on-site dog park will also be in place.

Each building will feature 10-foot-high ceilings, eight-foot-high front doors, extensive sound attenuation, oversized windows, granite countertops and clean interior design finishes. JHP Architecture / Urban Design designed the buildings and Moore DesignGroup developed the interior design for the community.
