DALLAS—CityLine has landed two more restaurants.
The Richardson development is bringing chef Eddy Thretipthuangsin's Kin Kin Urban Thai and Bite City Grill to the 186-acre mixed-used development.
“Chef Eddy has a strong reputation in the North Texas area for authentic global food,” Colin Fitzgibbons, KDC vice president, told GlobeSt.com. “His unique cooking style will bring that much more variety to the dining options already available at CityLine, where there is something for everyone.”
Already open in Fort Worth (and with two more scheduled to open soon in Dallas), Kin Kin marries chef Eddy T's traditional family recipes from Thailand to his formal culinary skills. Pad thai and tom kha soup are on the menu, as well as an innovative Thai-style burger and Scotch eggs.
CityLine will be the second location for Bite City Grill, which offers New American cuisine with a global influence, and also has a Fort Worth location. The restaurant features steakhouse-inspired favorites as well as a brunch and happy hour selections.
Chef Eddy T first drew local notice when he opened Pakpao in the Dallas Design District. He was inspired to open the new restaurants at CityLine because of what the development offers.
“Our guests at both Kin Kin and Bite are well-traveled, and they enjoy dining experiences,” he said. “We feel that the corporate and residential opportunities at CityLine are a perfect match for our growth strategies.”
The 3,634-square-foot Kin Kin is scheduled to open this summer. It will be located on the ground floor of Three CityLine at 1201 State St. Bite City Grill's 5,200-square-foot location is scheduled to open in January 2016. It will be located in the ground floor of Lot A, a 532-unit apartment building developed by JLB, across the street from Jasper's, on the southwest corner of State Street and Plano Road.
