RICHMOND, VA—Further details have emerged on a six-business park portfolio sale reported on recently by Globest.com, including the fact that Baker Properties of White Plains, NY is the new owner of the nearly 823,000 square feet of commercial space in the region and that BNY Mellon of New York City provided $38 million in the $60.3-million transaction.

First Potomac Realty Trust sold the portfolio to Baker Properties. DTZ executive managing director John Campanella arranged the financing on behalf of Baker Properties, which has a local office in Glen Allen at 1059 Technology Park Drive, which is headed by division manager Eileen Dahlstedt. DTZ revealed the purchaser and that BNY Mellon financed a portion of the purchase price in a press announcement.

The portfolio totals 827,925 square feet and is 85% leased. The six business parks include a total of 19 buildings concentrated in submarkets with access to major transportation highways, including I-95, I-295 and I-64, as well as area airports.

Chesterfield Business Center, Airpark Business Center and Pine Glen are located in Chesterfield County and represent a mix of single-story office/flex and industrial product. Park Central and Virginia Center Technology Park are located in Henrico County, while Hanover Business Center can be found in Hanover County.

Chesterfield Business Center is comprised of eight office/warehouse buildings totaling 191,372 square feet located within the Chesterfield Airport Industrial Park. Airpark Business Center is comprised of two, single-story flex/office buildings totaling 42,227 square feet located adjacent to Chesterfield County Airport. Pine Glen is a Class A, 86,590 square foot industrial property located in southern Richmond. Park Central is comprised of three Class A single-story office buildings totaling 204,696 square feet located in northern Richmond. Virginia Center Technology Park is a single-story office/flex building totaling 118,983 square feet and Hanover Business Center is comprised of four single-story office/flex buildings totaling 184,057 square feet, both of which are located in northern Richmond.
