PURCHASE, NY—WESTMED Medical Group and developers Simone Healthcare Development and Fareri Associates staged a grand opening ceremony for the new 3030 Westchester Ave. office building—the first new office product completed on the I-287 corridor here in a quarter of a century.

The new four-story, 85,000-square-foot medical office building is located 3030 Westchester Ave. in the newly renamed Purchase Professional Park and marks the launch of WESTMED Medical Group's fifth full service medical office in Westchester County. The total development and construction costs for the project were approximately $22 million.

WESTMED, Simone and Fareri Associates executives were joined by local elected and community leaders at the ceremony, including Westchester Deputy County Executive Kevin Plunkett and Harrison Town Supervisor/Mayor Ronald Belmont.

Purchase Professional Park features four modern buildings (3000, 3010, 3020 and the new 3030 Westchester Ave.) totaling 220,000 square feet of Class A office and medical space. Simone Healthcare Development and Fareri Associates recently completed a major renovation and modernization of the existing buildings and common areas at the Purchase Professional Park. The renovation work included refurbishing the exterior facades, renovation of the lobbies as well as all common area hallways and restrooms, and replacement of the elevators and elevator cabs with new finishing throughout all three of the complex's previously existing buildings.

Landscaping is being upgraded throughout the campus and the existing courtyard will have a new fountain as its centerpiece, along with new plantings, pavers and outdoor furniture, company officials state. Other improvements underway at the park involve new, brighter and more energy efficient LED lighting being installed throughout the on-site parking areas at the campus and the replacement of all interior and exterior signage to reflect the complex's new name.
