FAIRFAX, VA—Peterson Cos. has landed Cinépolis USA as an anchor entertainment tenant for its mixed-use project Avonlea Town Center, a Loudoun County community the company will begin developing this year.
Cinépolis Loudoun County will be Cinépolis USA's first theater in Virginia as well as the Northeast region. It will be an 11-screen, 748-seat luxury theater featuring reclining leather seats, in-theater waiter service and a full bar menu. Taylor O. Chess, president of Retail for Peterson Cos., says the company will be announcing a number of restaurants, cafes, specialty shops and boutiques that are locating in the development in the coming months.
The 265,000-square foot Avonlea Town Center is is scheduled to break ground in 2015. When it delivers it will have 122,500-square feet of retail, the 39,000-square foot cinema, a 32,000-square foot health club, a 40,000-square foot grocer and 40,000 square feet of office.
