HOUSTON--Transwestern has represented Pathmark Transportation in four leases totaling approximately 334,000 square feet of warehouse/distribution space.
Cameron Maness, a tenant advisory specialist at Transwestern, represented the logistics aggregator in separate transactions in Atlanta; Houston; Orlando, FL; and Memphis, TN.
“We are in the initial stages of evaluating space in new markets for Pathmark,” Maness told GlobeSt.com. “It has been exciting to work collaboratively with our long-term client on new locations as it responds to increased demand for its services.”
Pathmark's expansion has been driven in part by the addition of Bed, Bath & Beyond to its client roster in selected markets. The national retailer chose Pathmark to handle its product aggregation and distribution due to its logistics automation and its ability to expand into new markets quickly.
The most recent lease transaction was for 76,234 square feet at 14810 North Freeway in Houston. This follows three leases in the fourth quarter of 2014, including approximately 143,000 square feet in Atlanta; 56,000 square feet in Memphis; and 59,000 square feet in Orlando. In all cases, it was important to Pathmark that the facilities have expansion potential, as the company continues to grow its portfolio of clients in these new markets.
Walker Barnett of Colliers International represented the owner of 14810 North Freeway in the transaction.
