FORT WORTH--Majestic Realty Co. has made two key additions to its Fort Worth office. The firm has hired Kerby Smith as senior vice president of development and Josh Wheeler as vice president-director of development.

Smith, formerly a SVP at Trademark Property Co., is a 14-year industry professional. In his new role, he will focus on implementing the company's revitalization of a 70-acre mixed-use project in the Fort Worth Stockyards. Majestic, in partnership with the Holt Hickman family, has formed the Fort Worth Heritage joint venture to enhance, preserve and revitalize the iconic Fort Worth Stockyards.

"We've made a very substantial commitment to project development in the greater Fort Worth market, with a particular focus on the historic Stockyards project,” Craig Cavileer, executive vice president of Majestic Realty Co., told GlobeSt.com. “[And] with more than 1,000 acres to plan and develop inside of the 820 loop, we're very excited to be able to add Kerby to our team."

Wheeler, who relocated from the company's Los Angeles headquarters, will focus on the Stockyards project, as well as Majestic's 321-acre commercial/industrial development in south Fort Worth, another joint venture with the Hickman family.
