BOERNE, TX--Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort & Spa will unveil multimillion-dollar renovations to its pool and golf course this summer.  

“The recent renovations Tapatio Springs has undergone make the resort an even more desirable Hill Country escape,” Caleb DuBose, general manager of Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort & Spa, told GlobeSt.com. “We want our guests to feel at home and relaxed and the new additions provide that experience."

Last year, a joint venture between affiliates of Northview Hotel Group and Seis Holdings acquired Tapatio Springs in partnership with Tom Cusick and country music star George Strait. The 220-acre San Antonio-area destination opened in 1985.

Tapatio Springs' new $1-million pool and bar area features an expanded pool deck, hot tub, curved-tube water slide, fire pits, shuffleboard courts, an outdoor bar with flat-screen televisions and seasonal live music.  

The owners of Tapatio Springs are aiming to reinvent the resort as a family-friendly and affordable destination.

Later this summer, the renovated $1.5-million Tapatio Springs Hill Country Golf Course, designed by golf course architect Tripp Davis and Associates, will be unveiled. The firm has “reimagined the original course set in the rolling Texas hillside.”

GM DuBose has joined Tapatio Springs from the NYLO/Las Colinas Hotel in Dallas, where he served for two years as general manager. Director of golf Matt Reams oversaw the golf program at Grants Pass Golf Club in Oregon and at Cougar Canyon Golf Links in Colorado. Executive chef Michael Collins comes to Tapatio Springs after directing the kitchen at San Antonio's Eilan Resort & Spa and, previously, Meritage Resort in Napa Valley, Park City Mountain Resort in Utah, and Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans.

Director of sales and marketing Greg Haugland joined Tapatio Springs in last September, after 10 years as director of sales at San Antonio's Westin La Cantera Hill Country Resort.

The resort is located 10 minutes from Boerne, and 35-minutes away from San Antonio.
