DALLAS--Colliers International has announced that BT Global Services, a subsidiary of BT Group plc, is moving its Americas headquarters to Cypress Waters in Coppell. BT will take 28,000 square feet and bring about 250 employees.

Noel Hutcheson and Fernando Araiza of Colliers International were the tenant's representatives while Kathy Permenter, Moody Younger and Sean Dalton of Younger Partners represented the landlord, Billingsley Co.

“BT was looking for a landlord who was very flexible and a building that could meet their workspace design densities,” Hutcheson, senior vice president, told GlobeSt.com. “The BT consulting environment is very collaborative and the work spaces are 'benches' in teaming areas. Many buildings asked BT to adjust their environment to fit into the building, whereas the Cypress Waters park was designed to fit their modern work style. It was a perfect building, in a great location that allows BT to hire and retain top notch people.”

Cypress Waters, with its restaurants, retail and multifamily components, appealed to BT as do the numerous corporate amenities, such as parks and trails for biking and hiking.

In addition, the proximity to D/FW International Airport and access to a “quality talent pool” were factors.

BT will join other tenants including Cheddars, Nationstar Mortgage, Meritage Homes and 7-Eleven at Cypress Waters.
