SAN DIEGO—Economics and "process," to be exact. Those are the two biggest challenges for redevelopers in San Diego, according to Paul Komadina, managing director of the San Diego region with CBRE. GlobeSt.com met with Komadina during the RealShare SAN DIEGO event to get his take on the state of adaptive re-use and redevelopment across CRE.

Komadina breaks down the challenges in acquiring properties to redevelop, and then goes further by explaining the hurdles involved with the project once the ink has dried (the process). He then goes further to explain:

  • The importance of redevelopment to the changing city,
  • Which asset types are drawing the most interest, and
  • How San Diego is poised to grow in the future.
