CHICAGO—Hillwood, a Perot company, recently acquired 39 acres at Pinnacle Business Park located in suburban Romeoville. The Dallas-based company plans to develop four class A industrial buildings totaling 638,110 square feet. The acquisition marks Hillwood's first development since opening its new Chicago-based office earlier this year.

The developer will break ground later this summer on the initial two buildings, which will each have 200,000 square feet with rear load design and 32' clear height. The truck courts will be 185 feet deep with up to 45 dock doors, 62 trailer parking stalls and 62 car parking spaces. Each building will hold up to four tenants.

“The Romeoville acquisition represents an exciting expansion of our current portfolio,” says Don Schoenheider, Hillwood senior vice president and Chicago market officer. “We believe the Chicago industrial market area is a preeminent global location for industrial development, and our Hillwood team is proud to begin our first of many development projects.”
