BETHESDA, MD—Walker & Dunlop has brought on Chris Hew as vice president in its Mid-Atlantic Capital Markets group.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Hew was a director of debt origination at GE Capital Real Estate where he originated commercial real estate loans and evaluated loan opportunities within the CMBS and structured finance platforms. Prior to that, he was vice president of debt origination for GE Capital Franchise Finance.

Hew has a strong domain expertise in hotel lending in particular, says Walker & Dunlop's Senior Vice President of the Mid-Atlantic Capital Markets team Dan Martin, alongside his general knowledge of the market.

Hew's hire follows Martin's own recruitment last month to the company's capital markets team.

Before joining the company, Martin was regional manager at GE Capital Real Estate.
