AUSTIN, TX—Carr Development said Wednesday that it would manage, market and lease space at The Trails at 620 in northwest Austin. The locally based company will also be responsible for development of future phases of the project, which serves five of the city's wealthiest zip codes.

The class A mixed-use development offers approximately 210,000 square feet of retail, restaurant, hospitality and medical space. It's anchored by the first Moviehouse and Eatery, a high-end theater and restaurant concept that will have two more Texas locations by the end of this summer.

“We're certainly excited about the opportunity to market such a great property in Austin, and we have full confidence in our team to successfully lease it up with quality tenants,” says Scott Carr, president of Carr Development. “We've already seen substantial interest in the development from tenants active in the market, as well as some groups that would be new to the area.”

Grant Barrett, Travis Waldrop and Carr are leading the effort for Carr Development. They're strategically marketing the property to a variety of successful and synergistic tenants, the company says.

“Carr Development is a natural fit for The Trails at 620,” says former owner Leslie Perry Sloan, who co-developed The Trails with Rodney Speaks. “The Carr team has such an impressive track record and tremendous experience in development, leasing and management. Plus, their ability to navigate the complex components associated with this development truly sets them apart.”
