DALLAS--Goddard Investment Group, the privately held commercial real estate firm and owner of downtown high-rise Fountain Place, has announced that Hunton & Williams law firm has signed a long-term lease extension.

“It was extremely important for Fountain Place to retain such a prominent organization,” said Jim Wilson, principal, Goddard Investment Group, in a release. “They are an internationally-recognized law firm and one of the most prominent tenants in the Dallas Arts District.”

Hunton & Williams has built a long-term relationship with Fountain Place and chose to extend its lease instead of relocating to a new building. One of the more recognizable buildings in Dallas, the 58-story green-glass tower is nestled within the Dallas Arts District.

Johnny Johnson and Lauren Napper of DTZ represented the landlord and Larry Toon, Elizabeth Cooper, Jeremy McGowan and Brad Selner of JLL represented the tenant in the 88,000-square-foot lease.

“We have always been a fan of the building and we're very excited about the significant improvements soon to be made by Goddard Investment Group,” says Patrick Mitchell, managing partner of the Texas offices of Hunton & Williams. “Because of Goddard's commitment and investment in this iconic property, we selected Fountain Place over a number of existing buildings in the Arts District and some that are scheduled to come online in the near term. Fountain Place provides a great location for our current needs and future growth.”
