ATLANTA—Dale Lewis, a 26-year commercial real estate veteran and industry leader, has joined CBRE's Atlanta office. He comes on board as senior vice president in the occupier leasing group.
During the course of his career, Lewis has served in multiple commercial real estate capacities, both on the landlord and tenant side. He's built a reputation as an experienced dealmaker and negotiator.
“We are thrilled to have Dale join the CBRE team,” says John Ferguson, CBRE Southeast president. “He is a well-respected leader in the Atlanta real estate community, having earned the titles of 2006 Realtor of the Year from the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, CoStar Power Broker 2013 and 2014, and 15-year ACBR Million Dollar Club member.”
Lewis joins CBRE after working at DTZ, Cassidy Turley and Carter & Associates. He has focused primarily on representing office tenants and users. As he sees it, the move to CBRE is an opportunity for him to present his clients with “tremendous market intelligence and connectivity.”
Lewis is also sharing his insights into the Atlanta office market. He tells GlobeSt.com with class A office vacancy at its lowest since 2001, the market is feeling the impact.
“The lack of available space and new product coming to market brings new challenges for tenants, but also indicates a healthy economy for Atlanta,” Lewis says. “The city, unlike many of the other national top markets, benefits from an economy that suits any type of tenant, from the start-up tech firm, to major Fortune 500 companies, to upscale retail or suburban warehouse tenants. It puts Atlanta in a stable place and less volatile than competing cities that rely heavily on the growth of a particular type of business."
